
The China Art Museum is located on the site of the China Pavilion at the Expo 2010 Shanghai China. With a total floor area of 166,800 square meters and nearly 70,000 square meters of exhibition space, it is divided into six exhibition levels and 35 galleries: the 60m level, the 49m level, the 41m level, the 33m level, the 5m level, and the ground level (0m).
The museum houses a collection of 14,000 works of art, with over 1,400 pieces featured in its first exhibition. The collection includes a diverse range of art forms such as traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, calligraphy, printmaking, sculpture, and shadow puppetry.
