The West Bund, located in the Xuhui Waterfront along the Huangpu River, features a waterfront stretch of approximately 11.4 kilometers and encompasses an area of about 9.4 square kilometers. It is one of the most vibrant and publicly accessible waterfront urban districts in central Shanghai.
Guided by the principles of “planning-based, culture-oriented, eco-based, and technological-innovation-driven”, the West Bund is centered around key projects such as the “West Bund Cultural Corridor,” “West Bund Media Port,” and “Shanghai Dream Center.” The goal is to create an international waterfront district that integrates top-tier domestic and international culture and arts, media, innovative finance, commerce, and lifestyle. It aspires to become a distinctive new urban cultural landmark on par with the Left Bank of Paris and the South Bank of London.
